Design Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of visually compelling design systems for Star Buds across in-store displays, packaging, digital assets, and promotional materials
• Translate marketing and merchandising objectives into clear creative direction and executable design frameworks
• Provide hands-on design support as needed while setting standards that enable efficient downstream execution
• Ensure all creative output meets quality, brand, and compliance requirements
• Own and maintain Star Buds brand design standards, style guides, and visual frameworks
• Review and approve design deliverables to ensure consistency across all retail and marketing applications
• Provide direct management, coaching, and feedback to Graphic Designers supporting the Star Buds banner
• Oversee multiple design initiatives simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, quality, and scope are maintained
• Coordinate with external vendors, printers, and fabricators to support production of design materials

Requirements

• Strong design leadership and management skills
• Experience with brand design standards, style guides, and visual frameworks
• Ability to translate marketing and merchandising objectives into clear creative direction
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple design initiatives simultaneously
• Experience with project and vendor management
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
