Job Description

The Back of House Manager will help organize and run retail stores and fill in for the General Manager when needed. This role is crucial in ensuring the sales team meets its goals of efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Back of House Manager will assist the General Manager in organizing, planning, and implementing strategy, track progress of objectives, evaluate employee performance, and supervise and motivate staff. The ideal candidate will have leadership and organizational abilities, interpersonal and communication skills, and a problem-solving attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring department schedules and objectives are met by employees
  • Assisting the General Manager in organizing, planning, and implementing strategy
  • Tracking progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives
  • Evaluating employee performance and identifying hiring and training needs
  • Supervising and motivating staff to perform their best
  • Coaching and supporting new and existing BOH Associates/Supervisors
  • Managing physical inventory storage in compliance with CRA storage requirements
  • Maintaining active knowledge of incoming inventory and existing inventory levels
  • Monitoring all items shelf-life and creating deals for near-expiration product
  • Providing hands-on training of inventory tracking system and inventory procedures
  • Ensuring daily cycle counts are completed and results sent to compliance manager and General Manager
  • Resolving count issues within 24 hours of taking cycle count
  • Ensuring proper documentation is logged
  • Ensuring all waste procedures are followed to CRA requirements
  • Ensuring all floor products are audited weekly for compliance
  • Maintaining inventory room/office and vault
  • Ensuring scales are calibrated daily and maintained
  • Opening and closing of the store
  • Cash handling
  • Championing all inventory SOP’s

Requirements

  • Leadership and organizational abilities
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Flexibility to work in shifts
  • 1-2 years of industry experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of inventory or related experience
  • Experience with statewide monitoring software (METRC)
  • Comprehensive understanding of CCR packaging and labeling requirements
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite
  • Detail-oriented
  • Able to work well both alone and with others
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
