Job Description

The Assistant Store Manager will assist the Store Manager in developing, leading, and motivating a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience that supports building brand loyalty and achieving financial targets. The role involves operating as the Manager on Duty, providing top-notch customer service, and educating guests on products. The Assistant Store Manager will also proactively communicate with Store Manager, District Manager, and Cross-functional Partners to maximize revenue opportunities and model selling behaviors aligned with the brand culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively communicate with Store Manager, District Manager, and Cross-functional Partners to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Model selling behaviors aligned with the brand culture to support building loyal customer relationships and delivering on key financial targets
  • Monitor and analyze customer service provided by team members, offer feedback and coaching
  • Supervise the operation of the store and team members, including opening/closing/changing shifts, task delegation, and scheduling team members
  • Supervise the control of the store money, including register counts, withdraws from the bank, armored car pickups, safe deposits, and oversee all aspects of bookkeeping
  • Maintain knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, maintain respectful relationships with coworkers
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned, including assisting team members as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail and/or customer service experience in a high-paced selling environment
  • Minimum of 1 year of retail supervisory experience
  • Strong sense of business acumen and understanding of how to measure success through the achievement of financial targets and other key performance indicators
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours
  • Previous experience working in a heavily regulated industry
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to build and manage teams
  • Strong salesmanship skills, experience in driving revenue
  • Strong experience and attention to detail in cash handling and POS operations
