Job Description

Dutchie is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Brands team, focusing on solving the needs of cannabis brands. The ideal candidate will have experience in front-end application development with Javascript, React, and CSS, and will be responsible for defining and building new capabilities for cannabis brands. The role will involve working with a high-performing team, tackling several projects simultaneously, and relying on technical skills, product instincts, and project ownership to deliver new capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Define the product by learning about customers, their business, and their needs
Partner with product managers and designers to define and shape what to build
Work with engineering peers on technical designs for entities and interfaces
Write or supervise AI agents writing front-end code
Ensure code is thoroughly tested and nicely factored
Ship to customers and get feedback
Improve systems and organization by being observant and proactive

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on front-end application development with Javascript, React, and CSS
Delivering intuitive, elegant user interfaces with well-factored components
Comprehensive and automated testing, including unit/integration and full-browser E2E
Sufficient instrumentation, monitoring, and error handling
Modern security and accessibility practices
Familiarity with REST & GraphQL APIs and related front-end design practices
Demonstrated history of successful project delivery as the front-end leader/owner
