Security Officer - Per Diem

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Secure premises by patrolling the facility, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points
• Monitor surveillance equipment, detect tampering, troubleshoot malfunctions, and adjust equipment as needed
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance of security systems and evaluate new equipment and techniques
• Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of individuals, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Investigate and report irregular activity to the Security Manager or local police
• Complete and submit detailed incident reports promptly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies
• Safely and securely transport deliveries to authorized dispensary organizations and patients
• Assist with maintaining a courteous and professional environment for team members, customers, and visitors

Requirements

• Strong computer skills
• 2 year degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education
• 5+ years of experience in Law Enforcement and/or Public Safety preferred
• 3+ years experience in a similar role
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check under cannabis regulations
• Current valid driver’s license required
• A positive and approachable attitude, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members
