Security Officer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Secure premises by patrolling the facility and inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points
• Monitor surveillance equipment and detect tampering
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance of security systems
• Investigate and report irregular activity
• Respond promptly to all alarms
• Collaborate with local leadership and Human Resources to investigate occurrences
• Complete and submit detailed incident reports
• Safely and securely transport deliveries to authorized dispensary organizations and patients

Requirements

• Strong computer skills
• 2-year degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
• 5+ years of experience in Law Enforcement and/or Public Safety preferred
• 3+ years experience in a similar role
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check under cannabis regulations
• Current valid driver’s license required
• Positive and approachable attitude
• Commitment to excellence and operational efficiency
• Flexibility to meet scheduling needs and respond to onsite incidents
