Security Officer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Secure premises by patrolling the facility and monitoring security systems
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance of security systems
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of individuals
• Investigate and report irregular activity
• Collaborate with local leadership and Human Resources
• Complete and submit detailed incident reports
• Assist with maintaining a courteous and professional environment
• Support emergency response efforts

Requirements

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Professional telephone etiquette
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables
• Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 or more pounds and regularly move up to 25 pounds
