Job Description

PharmaCann, Inc. is seeking a Sales Territory Specialist to work within their established New York cannabis wholesale program. This role is a brand-focused, highly specialized sales position responsible for increasing product distribution and driving velocity in wholesale accounts, cultivating and deepening authentic relationships with wholesale retailers and staff, and building consumer affinity toward their portfolio of brands. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, enthusiastic, and self-disciplined, with a strong sales track record and knowledge of the cannabis industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver on defined KPI goals related to gaining new points of distribution and increasing product sell-thru rates
  • Work directly with wholesale account staff, managers, budtenders, buyers, and merchandising teams to support sales, educate staff and customers, and engage consumers
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for brand growth, leading effective collaboration and engagement with internal sales force
  • Partner with VP of Wholesale Sales and Marketing to develop and deploy market-specific strategies, promotional plans, campaigns, and educational initiatives
  • Stay abreast of industry, customer, and competitive product landscape, attending cannabis industry trade shows and conferences
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to understand their needs and respond proactively
  • Manage budgets, tactical resources, and tools to maximize ROI
  • Record daily and weekly performance via internal tracking system and effectively communicate results to identified stakeholders

Requirements

  • Strong sales track record in driving revenue, achieving growth, and building customer relationships
  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry, regulations, market trends, and competition highly preferred
  • Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, self-disciplined, and driven team player with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to recognize and respond to changing trends and priorities
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Suite, Leaflink, Leaftrade, Pistil, Sales Force, or similar CRM programs preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license
  • College degree in related field or equivalent industry experience
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably within cannabis or related industries
