Production Lead

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Wear the appropriate PPE and uniform
• Follow GMPs, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Adhere to break schedules and report any policy breaches to the Supervisor or Manager
• Coach and provide corrective actions to employees failing to meet quotas
• Audit and report underperformance via email to the Supervisor or Manager
• Ensure all direct reports maintain the required quality standards
• Input data into appropriate spreadsheets daily
• Train all new hires within the assigned production area
• Oversee packaging operations to ensure products are packaged according to quality standards and production goals
• Communicate effectively with the Supervisor to ensure smooth production operations

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Experience working in assembly plants (cells or tables) assembling products
• Proficiency in MS Excel for daily data entry and reporting
• Ability to lead a team of up to 50 people
• Effective verbal and written communication skills at all management levels
• Ability to de-escalate situations quickly and effectively
• HS Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role with direct reports
• 1+ years of experience in training or coaching (preferred)
