Job Description

The Processing Lab Supervisor will supervise and optimize all tasks in the Post Processing Lab, assisting the Lab Manager and Manufacturing team in maintaining quality control measures in extraction and purification processes to ensure high-quality product delivery. This role involves direct supervision of the Post Processing staff, department planning, and communication with management and co-workers.

Key Responsibilities

Directly supervises the Post Processing staff and accomplishes department results
Prepares for efficient production by reviewing the manufacturing schedule and calculating batch requirements
Operates highly sophisticated extraction and processing equipment
Maintains lab equipment and laboratory facility following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and standard operating procedures
Follows procedures for extract purification, including ethanol addition, winterization, filtration, rotary evaporation, decarboxylation, and distillation
Maintains inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment

Requirements

BS/BA Degree or greater in Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, or similar
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a lab or manufacturing setting
Minimum of 2 years' experience leading and managing a team
Experience with scientific writing for processes, training, and procedures
Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Ethanol Extraction, Winterization & Filtration, Rotary Evaporation, Distillations, and Product Formulations
