Power BI Developer (Contract Role)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports to support business and financial reporting needs
• Write and optimize queries to extract and transform data from Acumatica reports and related data sources
• Integrate and model data from Google BigQuery for use in Power BI
• Utilize Tableau dashboards as guides to replicate functionality in PowerBI
• Ensure data accuracy, performance, and consistency across reports and dashboards
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualizations
• Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning as needed
• Document data models, report logic, and development standards

Requirements

• Proven experience developing reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI
• Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery as a data source
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL concepts, and BI best practices
• Experience with Tableau (development or migration scenarios) is preferred
• Background in financial, operational, or ERP reporting environments is preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, contract-based engagement
