Payroll & Benefits Specialist 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Administer payroll, process payments, and reconcile deductions and contributions
• Ensure payroll compliance with laws and regulations
• Assist departmental leadership with maintaining accurate work schedules for staff
• Provide expertise and guidance on timekeeping matters to departmental leadership
• Administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Prepare and analyze reports related to payroll and benefits, including tax filings and deductions
• Run standard payroll and benefits reports and audit all associated data for accuracy
• Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding payroll and benefits
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll and benefits processes
• Collect, interpret, and analyze employee data
• Prepare reports and analysis related to payroll and benefits, and audit benefit enrollment reports for accuracy
• Maintain employee files

Requirements

• Occasional travel between DRH locations
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
• Ability to understand and complete all given directives in a timely manner
• Comprehensive understanding of software and systems used
• Adherence to all Local, State, and Federal industry regulations
• Ability to work autonomously to achieve daily directives and department goals
• Flexible work schedule, including covering shifts or assisting with facility issues in emergency situations
• High standards of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Commitment to excellence and accuracy
• Observe and support all safety procedures and protocols
