Network Administrator 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
• Monitor network performance, ensure uptime, and implement improvements for scalability and security
• Administer NVRs, storage solutions, and backup/DR solutions
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of automated greenhouse control systems
• Collaborate with greenhouse staff and vendors to optimize performance and resolve issues
• Maintain and support physical security systems, including IP-based cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all areas of responsibility
• Provide excellent service and provide a positive representation of the IT department in all interactions

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical support
• Strong fundamental understanding of networking best practices
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls a plus
• Able to perform intermediate functions within the Microsoft 365 environment with minimal support
• Strong understanding of network security best practices
• 2-3 years supporting the Microsoft suite of products
• Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines
• Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential
