Maintenance Technician III

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations
• Assist in maintaining all basic plumbing, electrical and facility systems
• Assist in maintaining SFPA greenhouse integrity and equipment
• Review and understand equipment and methods of operations
• Support any after-hours building needs and activities as required
• Maintain detailed and accurate records in daily logs and preventative maintenance logs
• Work closely with the Director of Facilities to ensure high quality operations
• Illustrate a sense of urgency and responsiveness to emergencies and other high priorities
• Monitor, escort and supervise outside contractors and vendors
• Daily removal of trash, recycling and monitor dumpster levels
• Daily routine checks of soap, hand sanitizer, paper towel and toilet paper dispensers
• Maintain exterior property (sidewalks, driveways, emergency exits, fence, etc.)
• Assist with SF-OH delivery fleet and ensure vans are road worthy and in good condition
• Cleaning and organizing of full facility production and storage areas
• Warehouse, greenhouse and restroom floor maintenance
• Assist in receiving process and documentation

Requirements

• Experience in general facility maintenance or a related trade
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working with minimal oversight
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards
