Lead Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility buildings to detect and resolve problems
• Schedule repair activities and assign repair tasks to maintenance staff
• Provide maintenance team with all tools and supplies
• Coordinates timely inspections from outside vendors for preventative maintenance or repair of electrical equipment and mechanical systems
• Implement maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and review annually
• Assist Supervisor with evaluation of repair cost estimates and present options to management
• Produce weekly progress reports including employee tracking to Maintenance Supervisor
• Maintain stocking equipment, filters, general use stock items, and order before needed
• Assist other departments as necessary throughout the facility
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and federal and state laws
• Ensure company premises and facilities are kept clean, including maintenance of parking area, buildings, fences, general maintenance, and storage areas
• Provide guidance to affected staff regarding ongoing maintenance activities within specific departments
• Ensure bottled drinking water is provided in all areas

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• One-year work experience in a related industry or work environment
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
• Demonstrate ability to consistently meet productivity and performance requirements
• Demonstrate high attention to detail
• Demonstrate professional and respectful demeanor towards others
• Demonstrate verbal and written communication capability
• Proven success in building and mechanical maintenance, leadership, teamwork, detail orientation, and timeliness of repairs
