General Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Hire, train, schedule, and manage staff to achieve established standards, sales, and profit objectives
• Drive a culture of positive employee engagement with a strong focus on inclusion and diversity
• Mentor, coach, motivate, and develop the team through performance succession planning
• Ensure effective team communication and host monthly staff meetings
• Actively manage inventory, recalls, returns, and pricing to meet cost and sales targets
• Effectively manage cash controls and financial reporting
• Perform business management operations and analyses, including P&L and KPI reports
• Proactively monitor dispensary profit and loss and develop effective mitigation strategies
• Maintain a general awareness of cannabis and retail trends to create innovative strategies
• Work with the Director of each Dispensary to meet all regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of management experience in retail, restaurant, food, or other service industry
• Cannabis experience highly preferred
• Excellent leadership and coaching skills, with empathy and understanding of the team
• Previous management proficiency in high-volume retail with P&L accountability
• Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture
• Must satisfy the minimum age criteria mandated by applicable state cannabis regulations
