Fertigation Technician

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Check and balance EC & pH of stock tanks according to company standard operations procedures (SOPs)
• Clean and sanitize nutrient tanks, pumps, filters as needed
• Maintain and ensure Irrigation and Fertigation equipment is in good working order
• Comply with company and product label safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Take nutrient samples to be sent out for analysis
• Maintain and ensure proper storage and sanitation of all tools and equipment
• Meticulous record keeping of all nutrient use
• Work closely with the grow team to ensure the irrigation/fertigation plan is properly implemented and maintained
• Maintain inventory of all fertilizers on site
• Ensure fertilizer concentrate tanks are filled adequately
• Respond to system alarms and diagnose/troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively

Requirements

• 21+ years old
• High School Diploma or GED Certificate required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and emergencies as required
• Hard worker and team player
• Understand and follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the state and company
• Agricultural or green industry experience required, preferably have a degree in Horticulture, Plant Science or related field
• Basic knowledge about irrigation systems, the related components, and familiar with hydroponic solution formulation
