Cultivation Technician

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care and maintenance to grow healthy, strong cannabis plants
• Perform tasks such as topping, bottoming, transplanting, defoliating, and scouting for disease or potential insects
• Adhere to national grow model and standards
• Prepare room for harvest, harvest and take down plants, defoliate and break plants into smaller pieces, and hang plants on dry rack
• Clean both dry and flower rooms in between harvests
• Perform sanitation tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of plant housing devices and plant tables
• Report any issues to management to ensure a timely fix
• Retain and understand department specific training
• Report safety incidents/concerns and comply with follow-up actions

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Associate degree or certifications preferred
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must possess valid state ID
• Must be able to obtain, and maintain, state badging requirements in order to work in the cannabis industry (requires background check and state review)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
• Ability to work in an environment that is 85+ degrees and 70% humidity for extended periods
• Ability to work at heights 6ft-8ft high using catwalk platforms, ladders, platform ladders, and scaffolds
