Job Description

The Cultivation Supervisor will lead the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Cultivation Technicians in all Cultivation Department processes and procedures at the direction of the Cultivation Manager. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a willingness to continually learn more about the subject, and will have completed a series of secondary specialized trainings. The Cultivation Supervisor will work in close collaboration with the Assistant Cultivation Manager and the Cultivation Manager to synchronize timing and scheduling of cultivation operations and ensure that production goals are met routinely.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure cultivation equipment is on hand, cleaned, maintained, calibrated, and set up prior to the start of each shift
Train Cultivation Staff on departmental protocols and procedures
Ensure the timely measurement and recording of daily temperatures, humidity levels, and other metrics
Supervise and assist CT-1’s and CT-2’s in the execution of daily feeding and plant care schedules
Maintain a clean, safe environment on the cultivation and production floor
Assist the CM and the ACM in developing and maintaining a safe, productive, personal culture amongst the team and within the department
Motivate team members and maintain team morale
Maintain accurate records of environmental data, nutrient mixes, equipment cleaning and calibration
Promptly report any movement of plants and/or plant I.D.’s to the Inventory department
Document and report any failure of cultivation staff to comply with departmental directions, S.o.P.’s, or regulations
Maintain an awareness of the production schedule, ensuring that all cultivation operations are performed properly and completed before scheduled deadlines

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associate degree in horticulture, agriculture, biology, chemistry, or related field - Preferred But Not Required
Minimum 1 year of experience in horticulture, botany, or related field
Minimum 1 year of experience working in the Cultivation Department of the Botanist - CCF or another Acreage
State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Compliance & Enforcement’s Private Pest Applicator Certification
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
