Compliance Coordinator

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary compliance liaison between local operations and internal compliance leadership
• Oversee local testing responsibilities and manage communication between Nabis, licensed laboratory partners, and brand representatives
• Act as the local point person for central distribution coordination
• Maintain METRC license integrity by actively monitoring for rejected packages, addressing discrepancies, and resolving compliance red flags in real time
• Support rollout and implementation of new SOPs introduced to the delivery spokes
• Communicate compliance expectations clearly to local staff and ensure consistent adherence to company protocols and state regulations
• Proactively identify areas of compliance risk and collaborate with leadership to implement preventive and corrective actions

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in cannabis operations, regulatory compliance, or distribution preferred
• Strong familiarity with METRC and cannabis compliance tracking systems
• Knowledge of California cannabis regulations and the operational implications of distribution compliance
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, third-party vendors, and regulatory partners
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and reporting
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve compliance discrepancies quickly and professionally
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment
• Excellent judgment, problem-solving skills, and professional communication
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities and new procedures
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and comfort learning new software platforms
• Must be over 21 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
• Cannabis industry experience strongly preferred
