Cannabis HR Generalist

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR partner for assigned departments and locations
• Manage first-line employee relations matters from intake and investigation through resolution and documentation
• Coach managers through corrective action, performance concerns, conflict resolution, and effective documentation
• Recognize higher-risk or complex employee relations matters and escalate them with relevant facts and a recommended course of action
• Identify recurring employee relations trends and help develop proactive solutions
• Conduct stay interviews, exit interviews, and targeted employee listening sessions
• Partner with HR leadership on engagement, inclusion, wellness, culture, and employee experience initiatives
• Support leaders in creating a culture of continuous feedback and accountability
• Drive performance management processes across assigned teams
• Support Individual Development Plans, internal mobility conversations, and workforce planning
• Monitor 30/60/90-day employee check-ins and turn feedback into actionable insights
• Support employees and managers throughout the leave process
• Participate in the interactive process involving FMLA, ADA, parental leave, personal leave, and other workplace absences
• Analyze employee relations trends, turnover, attendance, engagement feedback, and performance outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely HR reporting for assigned departments
• Translate workforce data into meaningful insights and recommendations for operational leaders

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent HR experience
• 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or an HR Generalist role
• Working knowledge of Missouri employment law, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC standards
• Strong judgment, communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to build credible relationships with employees and leaders at all levels
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly to Proper Brands locations throughout Missouri
• Must obtain and maintain a Missouri Agent ID
