Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring department schedules and objectives are met by employees
• Assisting the General Manager in organizing, planning, and implementing strategy
• Tracking progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives
• Evaluating employee performance and identifying hiring and training needs
• Supervising and motivating staff to perform their best
• Coaching and supporting new and existing BOH Associates/Supervisors
• Managing physical inventory storage in compliance with CRA storage requirements
• Maintaining active knowledge of incoming inventory and existing inventory levels
• Monitoring all items' shelf-life and creating deals for near-expiration products
• Providing hands-on training of inventory tracking system and inventory procedures
• Ensuring daily cycle counts are completed and results sent to compliance manager and General Manager
• Resolving all count issues within 24 hours of taking cycle count
• Ensuring all reconciliation is regularly completed
• Ensuring proper documentation is logged
• Ensuring all waste procedures are followed to the CRA requirements
• Ensuring all floor products are audited weekly for compliance
• Maintaining inventory room/office and vault
• Ensuring scales are calibrated daily and maintained
• Opening and closing of the store
• Cash handling
• Championing all inventory SOP’s
• Working closely with General Manager on training new/existing BOH Associates on all inventory SOP’s

Requirements

• Leadership and organizational abilities
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem-solving attitude
• Flexibility to work in shifts
• 1-2 years of industry experience preferred
• 1-2 years of inventory or related experience
• Experience with statewide monitoring software (METRC)
• Comprehensive understanding of CCR (Certified Child Resistant) packaging and labeling requirements
• Thorough understanding of all CRA/State of Michigan Cannabis regulations
• Strong math skills
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite- especially MS Excel and Word
• Detail-oriented
• Able to work well both alone and with others
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be at least 21 years of age
