Assistant General Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead by example in creating a positive atmosphere and promoting a customer-first philosophy
• Ensure consistent delivery of an exceptional customer experience via staff training and development
• Provide ongoing coaching and regular individualized feedback to team members
• Maintain records on staff performance and ensure plans for performance improvement are instituted
• Support the General Manager in interviewing, hiring, on-boarding, training, and managing dispensary staff
• Ensure all staff are trained on dispensary SOPs and state compliance protocols
• Maintain knowledge on all aspects of the medical cannabis industry
• Support the General Manager in achieving individual and dispensary KPIs
• Ensure accurate and efficient inventory tracking
• Ensure cash handling procedures are followed to mitigate potential loss
• Ensure safety and security standards are consistently upheld
• Actively model company values and code of conduct

Requirements

• Leadership experience in a retail or customer-facing environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Knowledge of the medical cannabis industry
• Experience with inventory management and cash handling procedures
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
