Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions
• Monitor entrances and exits and permit authorized persons to enter property
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education preferred
• One year experience in retail, customer service and/or hospitality required. Five years experience in security is preferred
• VALID BSIS Guard Card
• VALID BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit
• California Baton Permit within 3 months of hire
• Taser Permit within 3 months of hire
• O/C Spray Permit within 3 months of hire
• Must be 21 years of age
• Background check required
• Professional, tidy appearance and good personal hygiene
• Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekend, evening, and holiday shifts
• Must be on time and ready to work when scheduled with reliable transportation
• Valid California Driver’s License or State issued ID Card
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
