Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Codes items such as invoices, vouchers, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard procedures and properly enters items into the financial system
• Handles vendor correspondence via phone or email
• Obtains all invoice supporting documentation such as purchase orders and approvals and imports documentation into the financial system
• Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices
• Reconciles various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions
• Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status
• Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records, and reports
• Supports the market lead personnel in numerous functions of the accounting close

Requirements

• Experience in MS Office
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to multi-task
• Self-directed ability to follow up on pending issues
• Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
• Must pass any and all required background checks
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
• Must possess valid driver’s license
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
