Accounting Operations Specialist Team Lead

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Directly manage and mentor a team of five Accounting Operations Specialists
• Oversee the team’s execution of month-end close processes
• Ensure the team accurately manages retailer accounts receivable (AR) reconciliations
• Provide leadership in resolving escalated issues related to vendor payments and invoice generation
• Collaborate with senior management to prepare for external audits
• Monitor and evaluate team performance through key metrics
• Implement performance improvement plans and corrective actions when necessary
• Develop team goals aligned with department objectives

Requirements

• Five years of General Ledger Accounting experience
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within accounting operations
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
