Job description
The Territory Sales Manager will cover the east side of the state (Michigan); report to the Director of Wholesale and be responsible for driving sales, leading consumer and Product Specialist’s education, providing recommendations and feedback from the market, and actively seeking out potential new business opportunities. You will also map out and approach potential new dispensaries in the region to partner with.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maximize sales revenue within a given territory.
- Sell and manage simultaneous initiatives and programs, such as promotions, pricing strategies, new products.
- Conduct retailer visits. Visit purposes will range from dropping off updated menus and conducting meeting with buyers, educating Product Specialists on product, hosting vendor days, dropping off swag and supportive materials, and light merchandising and product set up.
- Develop innovative ways to improve one’s territory and sales performance.
- Provide feedback to Leadership Team on opportunities.
- Update CRM software and other internal tracking systems in a responsible, timely manner.
- Provide stellar customer service to accounts.
- Create, maintain, and build professional relationships and rapport with team and customers.
- Create a unique customer experience to increase brand awareness and build brand loyalty and ultimately drive in-store sales.
- Service current accounts for re-orders.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressively responsible Cannabis sales experience with a proven track record in achieving specific goals.
- Entrepreneurial attitude; embraces challenges and is adaptable to the ups and downs of the cannabis space.
- Cannabis industry experience required with a sound knowledge of market trends.
- Flexibility - this role will be ever-changing. This includes an understanding of being available and flexible with our customers timelines and working hours.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Sharp negotiation and time management skills.
- Leaflink experience highly desired.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be highly organized, able to pick up things quickly, and create processes that scale in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Thorough understanding of company’s products and/or services, and those of immediate competitors in the surrounding market.
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Must be able to travel within territory 75%-100% of the time (Some overnights may be required.)
- MVR check may be required.
