Job description
At Jane, our eCommerce platform sits at the heart of the organization. Our tech stack consists of technologies such as Rails, React, Typescript, Webpack, Docker and Postgresql.As our front-end codebase continues to mature, grow and evolve, we have made the decision to focus our efforts and attention to the React-ecosystem. We strive to implement code and solutions that meet or exceed best practices and industry standards within the React-ecosystem.In this specific role of Software Engineer, Front-End, you will have the opportunity to practice the craft of writing clean, testable, performant, and maintainable code for our user-facing applications within the Jane eCommerce Platform.
What You'll do:
- Write high-quality code for our user-facing applications within the Jane eCommerce platform
- Squash bugs and increase test coverage for our user-facing applications
- Collaborate with team leads, senior engineers, and product owners to contribute to high level decisions regarding the architecture and design of features and engineering initiatives for the front-end of our Jane eCommerce Platform
- Contribute to our continuous efforts to improve development infrastructure and processes
You have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1-4 years of experience in a product-centered team
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals
- Ability to write high quality, maintainable, modular, and well tested code (our front-end stack consists of React, Redux, RxJS, and Nx mono-repo tooling)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Proficiency in modern versions of React, including functional components and hooks
- Knowledge of build tooling such as Webpack, Babel, and Nx
- Experience with profiling, troubleshooting and optimizing web performance
- Ability to grow and adapt to a rapidly evolving technology stack
- Familiarity with Agile and Lean development methodologies
- Fierce passion about collaboration and the way you develop software
