Job description
The Senior Financial Analyst role will be based out of Revolution’s Corporate Headquarters in Chicago. This newly created role will be instrumental in supporting all aspects of the business (cultivation, retail, corporate) and will have high visibility to leaders within the organization. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, highly analytical, creative, and have a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Have ownership for updating management reporting on an on-going basis.
- Analyze financial information and identify variances, trends, etc.
- Monitor and report on progress against corporate initiatives and KPIs.
- Assist with on-going updates to short-term and long-term forecasts.
- Provide (and implement) suggestions for improvements/enhancements to recurring processes.
- Develop custom management reports by extracting and reconciling data from ERP system.
- Identify and correct discrepancies in data between different sources and views.
- Support annual budget process by gathering and organizing relevant inputs.
- Assist in development of business cases or other analysis supporting strategic initiatives.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2-4 years prior work experience in FP&A or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand the “story” behind the numbers.
- Proven ability to collect and analyze large amounts of data, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Willingness to dive deep into the numbers and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs such as excel, statistical analysis tools, and project management software.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate with a high-level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information.
- Preferred experience with an ERP (ideally Microsoft Navision) with knowledge of data structure and reporting capabilities of the system.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details.
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
Work Schedule:
40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs.
This position requires occasional overtime to meet reporting deadlines, and 3 days in the office per week.
