Job description
The Selling Supervisor is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a high performing team of Sales Associates that meets and exceeds set expectations. The Selling Supervisor is accountable for maintaining a strong presence on the sales floor to inspire and lead by example for the team. Reporting to the Store Manager, you are responsible for driving the retail store business and customer experience to achieve established goals through hands-on leadership and contributions.

- Serve as a proactive role model, mentor, and coach for the team.
- Support the development of the Sales Associates by implementing training programs and conducting routine touch bases.
- Create and implement selling strategies including contests that will motivate the team to achieve goals and support a high morale.
- Partner with Store Manager on the training and development of all Sales Associates, including corrective action and performance improvement plans.
- Maintain and manage all product knowledge resources and tools.
- Lead product education training on new and existing products.
- Operate as an effective leader at all times and demonstrate strong sales floor presence.
- Inspire and influence: lead by example and drive positive results by building an excellent customer and team experience.
- Oversee the daily sales ledger, shift logs, and KPI tracking and reporting.
- Proactively meet set sales goals and other KPIs and hold the team accountable to do the same.
- Collaborate with the other store leaders to drive strategy and achieve goals.
- Participate in leadership meetings by presenting department updates, identifying opportunities, providing solutions, and offering feedback.
- Adhere to all city and state regulations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
What You Have
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of retail leadership or customer service-related experience.
- Must be reliable and dependable with a good work ethic.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to adapt to a changing work environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Entry-level knowledge of cannabis products and related vocabulary is preferred.
Working Environment
This position will work in an indoor facility with controlled temperatures; may be exposed to bright lighting, loud equipment, airborne particles, and working in close proximity with customers and staff.
Job Requirements
- Work revolves around objectives, projects and priorities, not hours; Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis without assistance.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, push, pull, talk and hear for extended periods of time.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Selected candidate will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check with the local law enforcement.
