Job description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Production Designer to join CannaCraft. This opportunity will afford the right person a chance to become part of our existing marketing team and they will be instrumental in helping to shape the direction and future of our company. We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated and versatile designer to add to our team of talent. Candidates should be reliable, consistent, with an innovative and creative spirit.
Production Designer
The primary responsibilities of the Production Designer is to contribute to the overall production of print and digital marketing materials as well as packaging design and production. You should be proficient in the entire Adobe Creative Suite, have a versatile design background and be able to tackle a variety of design related projects including, but-not-limited to: advertisements (digital and print), promotional print materials, infographics, social media content, slide deck presentations, signage and packaging. You must be able to brainstorm ideas with your team, develop artistic concepts for each project and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Concept, design and deliver a wide variety of marketing materials to be used across a wide variety of physical and digital platforms
- Help monitor and maintain brand consistency across our house of brands
- Interpret briefs and kick off meetings to initiate initial design & consensus
- Create proof presentations and mockups for internal review & approval cycles
- Ensure work is in alignment with brand standards and compliance regulations
- Execute detailed content management, editing and typesetting of copy
- Maintain multiple project deadlines and prioritize needs on a per-project basis
- Collaboratively work alongside our team of passionate creatives
Skills:
- Complete proficiency in Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
- Strong understanding of pre-flight and pre-press standards
- Excellent, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong font, media asset and file management skills
- Familiarity with online project management platforms and communication tools
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Mail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc…
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements:
- 3+ years of applied graphic design
- Bachelor’s degree or certificate in design (or equivalent education and experience)
- Understanding of current work flow and relevant project management applications
- Clear understanding of written and verbal creative direction
- Strong understanding of design principles including composition, color and hierarchy of messaging, emphasizing the use of typography and photography in layout
- Understanding and comfort working on the Mac OS platform
- High level of integrity, personal motivation, accountability and radical self reliance
