Job description
The Marketing & Communications Specialist is primarily responsible for the effective communication between the public and the company. This includes managing daily email, social media, phone calls and inquiries and sending the information to different departments when appropriate. The Marketing & Communications Specialist is also responsible for the management and coordination of marketing systems and online public platforms, as well as, the coordination and scheduling of public events, conferences or company gatherings.
Duties and responsibilities
- Tracking, logging and documenting all communications between the public and the company.
- Writing and presenting Company PR releases to the executive team and coordinating the release to all appropriate media outlets.
- Swiftly and quickly responding to all email (main company email), phone (when appropriate), text, social media messages and other forms of communications and forwarding to or consulting with other departments when appropriate.
- Responding to every review posted (positive or negative) on all rating sites for all locations such as weedmaps, yelp, google reviews, etc. Informing the appropriate parties when something negative has been posted that needs attention
- Responding to all messages on Instagram, Facebook, Yelp, Google Business Pages, within 4 hours during normal business hours or 24 hours if on off hours
- Auditing of online menu platforms such as baker, weedmaps, leafly which includes making sure information is correct, best pictures are chosen, etc
- Adding and editing content on Instagram, facebook, weedmaps, leafly, dispensary.com, google and all other marketing platforms
- Coordinating and sending out the weekly newsletters via mailchimp
- Managing marketing campaigns including but not limited to, coordination of photography, timelines, personnel management and project management of campaigns.
- Maintaining a high level of understanding about the company, operations, products, specials, etc so that the external communication is effective and accurate.
- Scheduling public events and conferences and managing the budget, personnel, time, and marketing materials necessary to pull off a top-quality company presence.

- Assist with data entry, document review, researching, writing, designing, or editing

Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Minimum HS Diploma
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must own a HD camera or a top level phone (with camera)
- Must be extremely organized, accurate, discrete, extremely detailed oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be very fluid with a computer with skills in Excel, Various task management apps, facebook, instagram, etc.
- Must demonstrate exceptional social media skills
- Must be comfortable in a casual yet professional, fast paced environment, must be comfortable with both the most mundane and complicated of tasks
- Must be very flexible and willing to work on an ever-changing schedule (including weekends) and available after hours and on weekends when necessary.
- Self-directed, self-starter, able to take direction and follow through on a project, professional, flexible
- Honest, trustworthy and dependable
- Excellent research and execution of goals
- Must be able to handle very stressful/intense business situations
