Job description
We are looking for a customer service-oriented and operationally driven candidate to serve as a keyholder and Agent-In-Charge at our recreational dispensary. The ideal candidate will strive to keep the team morale and energy high while maintaining compliance and company best practices. The Lead Dispensary Associate will provide a genuine experience to customers with professionalism, poise, and patience. A passion for cannabis coupled with a strong adherence to protocol and compliance are a must for this role.
The Lead Dispensary Associate will help to support management initiatives by driving sales, promoting a culture of unparalleled customer service, and supporting operations in both front and back of house. Responsibilities include supporting daily opening and closing activities, accurately receiving and booking deliveries, coaching the team on best practices, and handling the daily ebb and flow of all store related matters while adhering to strict state guidelines and regulations.
As a condition of employment, all newly hired employees of Windy City should be prepared to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of work. Role Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager and Assistant Manager in all store initiatives
- Learn the ins and outs of the point of sale system
- Review and assist in receiving all deliveries with diligence and accuracy and in accordance with company and state regulations
- Adhere to and promote a culture of compliance and knowledge
- Support and motivate the team in achieving daily, weekly and monthly sales goals
- Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate others
- Proactive; does not wait to be delegated to
- Assist and support team members with positivity and proactivity in all day-to-day matters; communicate with respect and professionalism
- Assist in conducting nightly and monthly inventory audits in accordance with company and state guidelines to ensure there is no diversion of inventory, and effectively respond to discrepancies
- Prepare and effectively lead state inspectors through unannounced inspections
- Support efforts to maintain records for all necessary documents: delivery and inventory manifests, nightly and monthly inventory counts, necessary customer information, log books, inventory adjustments, and destruction reports
- Ability to manage time and respect protocol under fast-paced retail conditions is a must
- Other duties may be assigned, as needed or warranted, by management
- Frequently lifting, moving, carrying store inventory, weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally ascending/descending ladders or stairs.
Role Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have open availability, including evenings and weekends
- Experience in a leadership or keyholder position for 2+ years preferred
- 2+ years experience in cash handling required
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff members and managers
- Working knowledge of inventory and sales reports
- Ability to remain composed and professional under pressure
- Adaptable, responsible, and reliable
- Familiarity with IL Medical Cannabis Program rules and regulations.
- Ability to acquire a state credential by passing required background check and any other requirement listed.
- Proven organizational skills.
- Efficacy with technology and point of sale systems.
- A fundamental understanding of cannabinoids and their effects on the body is required
- A passion for cannabis that is widely translatable
- Ability to satisfy company requirements for vaccination against COVID-19, or obtain approved medical or religious exemption
