Job description
Support our laboratory during lab tests, experiments, and with proper setup and clean up. This includes maintaining the inventory of supplies for the lab. This position reports to the Production Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Receive and store lab supplies
- Maintain lab supply inventory and place purchase orders to keep items in stock
- Maintain assigned lab areas including stocking supplies, tidying and hygiene
- Wash and store lab glassware
- Support Laboratory Technicians as well as providing support to R&D team as required
- Participate in workplace safety program
- Comply with cannabis monitoring methods
- Assist in the service of general lab equipment
- Act as a substitute for on leave Technicians
- Quickly and accurately report issues to supervisor
- Ability to work in an agricultural setting operating small machinery
- Knowledge of plant systems and growth is desired
- Assist with plant media preparation, dispense, and inventory
- Other duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Minimum of High School diploma or equivalency.
Computer Skills: Data entry skills required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting for long periods of time, ability to lift up to 50 pounds and working with alcohol as a cleaning agent. Reach overhead or use a step stool. Other Physical Requirements: Must wear PPE including but not limited to lab coat, gloves, eye protection, and face mask.
