Job description
We are currently seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our broader Commercialization team. This is an excellent opportunity for a project management professional to apply and expand upon current knowledge in a constantly evolving Cannabis industry. An ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and organization skills with the ability to work well with various cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
This position is remote with an EST time zone preference. Travel will be required ~10-15% of the year.
Primary Responsibilities
- Works with cross-functional teams (internal & external) to execute on project deliverables
- Assists in multi-state roll out of new products and line extensions
- Update and track project calendars/progress to ensure on-time delivery to retail/wholesale
- Identify gaps in projects and product launch plans
- Support in data tracking/project reporting
Qualifications
- 1+ years of project management experience in CPG, Food, and/or Cannabis industries
- Proven track record of running multiple, continuous projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a wide portfolio of project priorities
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent time management with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Creative and effective problem-solving skills with an intuition for next strategic steps
- Confidence to bring your voice and opinions to the table, especially when it differs from others - diversity of thought makes us stronger
- Experience using project management software tools (i.e. Asana, Trello, MS Projects)
- Valid PMP Certification is a bonus, but not required
The ideal candidate for this position has project management experience with the proven ability to work cross-functionally with various teams on multiple projects with tight deadlines. This candidate is extremely organized and has experience working with various project management tools to effectively plan and support a project from start to finish. He or she will take a proactive approach to managing cross-functional teams in order to ensure project deadlines are being met. More broadly, the candidate displays flexibility and is willing to adapt to challenges that could potentially arise throughout the life cycle of a project.
