Job description
The IT Manager is responsible for the procurement, management and performance of the network infrastructure, devices and application support for all locations state-wide. This includes, but is not limited to voice, wifi and broadband, retail security cameras and point of sale systems, corporate and byod devices and office application support. Budgeting and tracking , vendor management, new technology deployment are essential administrative responsibilities. The IT Manager will lead a team of in-house and partner network admininstrators and help desk technicians to ensure continuous and efficient operations and support our dynamic growth.
What You’ll Do
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Effectively manage the performance of the IT team, providing leadership and supervision to ensure appropriate skilled resources are in place to meet service level requirements.
- Managing expansion projects, adding new locations and upgrading existing deployments
- Leading initiatives to improve IT policy, process and security
- Creating a budget for each project and tracking project and software expenses
- Ensuring written documentation is created and maintained, to include TPCo inventory of all software license and hardware assets, IT Policy and standard operating procedures
- Negotiating with suppliers of hardware, software and services to develop deep, valuable partnerships
What You Have
- BS/BA or Master’s degree in a computer field.
- 7 or more years or IT experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Excellent understanding of best-in-class IT business practices
- Proficient in latest technology for IT systems, security, and management
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- MS Office, O365 and Google Workspace administration
Working Environment
- This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and may work in proximity with customers and staff.
- Must be able to travel to other office locations.
Job Requirements
- Work revolves around objectives, projects and priorities, not hours; must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, sit, and bend for a majority of their work schedule.
- Must be able to travel to other office locations.
- Ability to use computer and calculator for 8 hours or more.
- Required to have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving history. Must have own transportation.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Selected candidate will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check with the local law enforcement or San Jose Police Department.
