Job description

Terrapin is looking for an Inventory Manager to join our growing company. As a Boulder, Colo.-based national cannabis company, Terrapin is a pioneer in the emerging industry. Terrapin is a cultivator, processor and provider of high-quality medical and recreational cannabis products. Over 10 years of operations, Terrapin has grown into a multi-state company with nearly 500 employees. As we have expanded nationally, our need for Inventory Manager has grown significantly.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Inventory Manager is responsible for monitoring, reporting of all warehouse as well as finished goods inventory and managing the warehouse teams. This position will work with Cultivate, Post Cultivation, Extraction, Marketing, Packaging, Shipping and Sales departments ensuring their respective inventory needs are met for optimal operating results. Monitor, track and report production results and inventory of the same departments.

Responsibilities:

Manage with department heads the receiving and storage of all shipments incoming to the warehouses.

Coordinate with supplies and vendors on inventory planning and flow strategies, vendor requirements and contingency planning.

Request supplies as needed avoiding inefficiencies or excessive surplus.

Document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory

Record inventory movements within the warehouses ensuring clear delineation of the transferring inventory ownership between departments.

Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems.

Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels and adjustments.

Establish measured daily, weekly and monthly KPIs.

Check routine inventory costs that impact operations, stock level and adjustments.

Ensure FIFO is used in all inventory consumption.

File documents accurately and timely for Accounting department.

Evaluate new inventory to ensure it’s ready for shipment.

Transport materials to each department as needed.

Support process improvements and initiatives as requested by management.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

Demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks

Proven experience as inventory manager or similar position

Working knowledge of inventory data analysis and forecasting methods

Working knowledge of inventory management software

Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports

Excellent organization and planning skills

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

Reliable and trustworthy

Able to manage multiple tasks in fast moving, highly regulated environment with deadlines

Bachelor degree or similar education

5+ years’ experience

Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire. Proof of vaccination required.

Must be willing to obtain or have your Missouri Agent ID Badge
