Viola was founded by Al Harrington, a former NBA player who was a first-round pick in the 1998 NBA draft. Job description
The Seasonal Trim Crew plays a crucial role in our production of high-quality cannabis products. To be successful in this position the ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail oriented, and enjoy working outdoors with plants and organics. This role may require working on your feet and/or on the ground for the entire shift with frequent handling of plants and cultivation materials. This position is a temporary/ seasonal agriculture position, expected to last approximately four (4) to six (6) weeks.
Additional Compensation: We will be paying an end-of-harvest bonus for everyone who works through to the completion of the harvest.
Standard Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (occasional weekend and/or extended hours as needed)
Start Date: We are anticipating a start date of September 15, 2021 and would like to have all employees hired and ready for on-site training by Monday, September 13. We also may have work available prior to the start of harvest on an as-needed basis for those who are interested.
Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Pruning & Harvesting (cutting down) large plants at our outdoor farm facility.
- Preparing harvested plants for curing (de-leafing, prepping storage areas, etc.).
- Cleaning up between breaks, after each shift, and post-harvest.
- Meeting daily/weekly production quotas.
- Various responsibilities as assigned by the Viola Portland management team.
Requirements
- Experience is preferred but not required.
- Must possess or successfully apply for the Marijuana Worker Permit required by the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC).
- Ability to sit or stand, working indoors or outdoors, for 8 hours daily.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds unassisted.
- Attentive to details with a high standard for quality performance.
- Manual dexterity within a range of repetitive motions.
- Highly motivated self-starter with exceptional teamwork skills and strong work ethic.
