Job description
The Flower Lead is responsible for the care and propagation of medical cannabis mother plants to ensure they are healthy. This is a leadership position that will be directly involved with field operations and entry level governance.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Coach and develop Technicians
- Monitor the disposal of plant waste
- Participate in inventory activities
- Maintain healthy mother stock for propagation
- Close data tracking on clone success and overall health
- Operate and maintain a clone and mother production schedule
- Ensure propagation area and work tools are clean and sanitized
- Monitor the seed inventory, plant seeds, and propagates seedlings into mothers
- Ensure mother stock room has optimal climate, proper spacing, air circulation and sun/shade exposure
- Maintain working knowledge of plant diseases, insects, fungi, and treatment options for pests and pathogens
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING
Required
- Age 21 or over
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
- Minimum of six months experience in commercial cultivation, agriculture, or another related field
Preferred
- Proficient with measurements
- One year cannabis experience
- Landscape, nursery, or growing operations experience
- Ability to complete, and accurately communicate, data sheets
- Knowledge of seed propagation and plant cultivation including topping procedures, and culling bad clones
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60lbs
- Agile fingers able to perform dexterous tasks
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, crouch to access plants
