Job description
The Extraction Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of the extraction team. Directly supervises extraction team members. Drives and oversees cross-training, continuous improvement, quality standards, and growth of extraction capabilities.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads the day-to-day decision making on production and activity management, providing work direction to the extraction team members
- Leads the day to day decision making and activity management for extraction production, providing work direction to the Extraction team members
- Manages the hiring, onboarding, and training of new extraction team members, as well as cross-training coordination when needed
- Conducts performance reviews, approves hours, and submits change of status requests for team members
- Works closely with the Senior Extraction Associate to track experiments, review and analyze data, and determine appropriate recommendations related to new processes, product, equipment needs, etc.
- Develops, audits, modifies, and enforces SOP’s
- Maintains safety as a priority, identifies potential hazards, and recommends solutions
- Investigate product quality issues and customer complaints
- Maintains preventative maintenance schedules for the extraction equipment
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of cannabis extraction experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
- Must possess or obtain a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee Badge
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Supervisory experience
- METRC knowledge
- Experience maintaining and operating machinery
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes
COMPENSATION:
- Pay range: $25.00 to $28.00 ;actual pay will be determined based on qualifications
- Bonus eligible based on team specific terms.
- Accrue paid time off (PTO) immediately; starting at 2 weeks per year.
