Job description
The Cultivation Technician I performs cannabis plant care in all stages of its life cycle. This position is responsible for following all sanitation, processing, and recordkeeping procedures in accordance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidance.
Essential Functions
- Completes regular plant maintenance including bottoming, thinning, topping, and spacing
- Completes transplanting (up-potting) to larger containers using proper techniques as dictated by SOPs
- Completes harvesting of plants according to schedule and procedures set by management, ensuring accurate weighing of plants and accurate recording in state electronic recordkeeping system
- Completes floor to ceiling post-harvest sanitation of rooms according to procedures set by management; completes sanitation of drying rooms as plants move to Trim
- Completes proper waste disposal, including weighing and recording of waste in state electronic recordkeeping system
- Completes thinning and hanging of harvested plants
- Maintains proper cleanliness (both personal and within workspace) to prevent cross-contamination and spread of disease
- May perform security duties as needed, including monitoring facility cameras, alarm systems, and performing inspection of the premises
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required
- Kitchen experience, landscaping, or experience in other fast-paced, physically demanding work environments preferred
- Must communicate professionally at all times
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle

Physical Requirements
- Frequent repetitive hand motion
- Frequent carrying of up to 50lbs
- Frequent standing, climbing of stairs, crouching, handling, kneeling, pinching, pulling (horizontal and vertical), lifting (waist to shoulder), reaching (waist to shoulder and above shoulder), and reading
- Occasional grasping, gripping, lifting above shoulder, sitting, stooping, and walking
- Constant exposure to cannabis odor
- Frequent exposure to high head, bright light where eye protection is required, humidity, noise, and nutrients/cleaning products that require use of gloves
- Frequent exposure to skin contact with plant resins, to which some individuals may be allergic (PPE provided)
- Occasional exposure to humidity, temperature changes, atmospheric conditions, and vibration
Working Environment
