Job description

The Cultivation Technician supports the day-to-day operations of a large-scale recreational cannabis cultivation facility. This position will help to ensure the production of reliable, safe, and high-quality products.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist Cultivation Manager and lead technicians with all aspects of the cultivation process (propagation, transplanting, pruning, defoliation, harvesting, post-harvest bucking/sorting, etc.)

Adhere to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and state regulations

Perform facility cleaning and waste disposal as required

Perform irrigation maintenance including but not limited to; refilling fertilizer stock tank, flushing irrigation lines, and completing basic repairs as directed

Assist in our Integrated Pest Management Program (pest scouting, sprays, drenches, and biological control dispersals)

Record keeping (regarding environmental parameters and irrigation sampling data)

Data input in Metrc (creating plantings, changing growth phases, creating packages, etc.)

Monitoring greenhouse environment and equipment adhering to SOP’s

Facility maintenance (setting up equipment, assisting with minor facility repairs/adjustments, flushing and repairing irrigation system, etc.)

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications

Previous experience in nursery/agricultural labor is strongly desired

Must be 21+ years of age

Valid OLCC Marijuana Workers Permit or ability to obtain prior to beginning work with the company

Must be able to commute to a remote area in Hillsboro, OR that does not accommodate public transportation

Good communication skills that promote a positive and productive teamwork environment

Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately

Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical labor-intensive environment

Computer proficiency ideal

Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and/or holidays

Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner

Must be able to work some weekends
