Job description
We are hiring a Compliance Specialist to oversee regulatory compliance with all applicable state and local laws and regulations across manufacturing, distribution, and delivery operations.
Sunderstorm is based in California and also operates in Colorado, Nevada, and Massachusetts - with additional expansion planned in the near future.
The Compliance Specialist will report to and work with the Compliance & Licensing Manager to assist with licensing objectives, perform regulatory audits, improve and develop standard operating procedures or improved policies, monitor operations and work to identify and correct instances of non-compliance.
The Compliance Specialist will ensure reporting, registration, filing, and other similar mandatory tasks are completed in a timely fashion and coordinate with Sunderstorm’s management to stay ahead of any future changes in regulations.
The Compliance Specialist will also assist in operational safety protocols (OSHA, Food Handlers, etc), and function as an objective party that will regularly visit, review, and evaluate both compliance and safety concerns across the organization. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and has in-depth knowledge of cannabis laws and regulations.
