Job description
The Manager Compliance be responsible for interpreting, negotiating, and implementing Eaze's various regulatory obligations, and would assist with all compliance filings company wide.
This position is CA or CO-based, but you must have CA legal experience.
The Successful Compliance Manager will:
- Provide strategic advice and guidance on implementing regulations, working closely with the cross-functional teams across the company
- Work directly with regulators to negotiate for favorable regulations that support the company’s business objectives
- Work closely with legal and government relations to recommend public policy strategies
- Keep management, operational, product, and marketing areas informed of compliance issues
- In charge of all regulatory filings including renewals, MOPs, etc. for all our licenses
Our Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years of legal experience at a mid- to large-size law firm, government regulatory entity or in-house at a technology company
- J.D. from a law school or equivalent experience and or education
- Outstanding writing, research, negotiating, and interpersonal skills. Strong oral advocacy and presentation skills
- Experience advising a fast growing business in a regulated industry
- Proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve maximum compliance while minimizing the impact of compliance on the business
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, challenging environment where decisions you make will have a large impact
- Travel as needed — if there is a fire, you go and put it out
